James Hinchcliffe has finally been confirmed at Andretti Autosport.
Hinch has been without a full season ride since the season finale in 2019, where he was fired from Schmidt Peterson Motorsports.
The Canadian did, however, get a contract with Andretti Autosport, where he would do three races with the team, racing with Genesys on the side of the car. He got additional races at the end of the season in car #26, previously raced by Zach Veach, when the team and Veach decided to end their relationship early.
Hinchcliffe will be racing car #29, with ten of the races being with Genesys colours.
This will be the 11th season for the Canadian in the NTT IndyCar Series.
James Hinchcliffe will have Colton Herta, Alexander Rossi and Ryan Hunter-Reay as full-season teammates throughout 2021, while Marco Andretti joins the team for the Indianapolis 500.
