Michael Ammermüller managed to double up on the wins this weekend, when second round of Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup was run at Circuit de Catalunya. Dennis Olsen once again took second place, while Pole man from both yesterday and today, Matt Campbell finished third. Mikkel O. Pedersen has signed a contract with Team MRS for a full season in Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup. He will participate in a brand new factory build Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car in the big international series. Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup is ready with their 2017 calendar. The support series for Formula 1 since 1993 have ten races on their calendar for next season, and it even includes a brand new venue. The season starts with a collective test at Circuit De Catalunya April 17th-18th before the real season starts three weeks later at the same track, with a double round opening the season. Sven Müller wins the Mobil 1 Porsche Supercup 2016 Championship The title was secured at the final round of the year at the COTA track in Austin, Texas. German Sven Müller won the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup at Silverstone, after a fantastic drive from 3rd starting position. All the cars were on slicks on the formation lap, but then the rain came and the start was aborted. Everybody got the chance to change to rain tyres and then the race was started 10 minutes later behind safety car. That lasted for 2 laps before the field was released.
